We are Aunt Dordordor, an independent artisan food producer specializing in handmade Sheng Jian Bao (Pan-Fried Pork Buns). We moved to Edinburgh from Hong Kong in 2021 and have just launched our small business making authentic homemade Sheng Jian Bao.
Originally a century-old Shanghai heritage street food (since the 1920s), these buns are now a staple in Hong Kong’s popular street food scene. We’re excited to bring this authentic craft to Edinburgh.
We focus on one thing and do it perfectly—handmade buns with a fluffy top, crispy golden base, filled with pork and rich savory soup inside. We use traditional Hong Kong methods to recreate the authentic "street-side" experience. We sizzle our buns on-site, adding a fantastic aroma and visual appeal.
