After last year’s success Machi Massage is back with more taster sessions at the Leith Walk polis box. Need to get rid of some of some old stress? Having postural issues from all that staring at your phone? Want to try reflexology for the first time? Then come to our taster sessions to treat yourself with a relaxing moment and let’s get rid of that tension.

I'm Joe. I have been working as a massage therapist for 3 years since graduating with a Diploma in Holistic Massage. Practicing Holistic Massage means I listen carefully to you and your body, (before the massage in a consultation, throughout the massage and afterwards through follow ups) and use my skills and experience to tailor a massage to suit your needs. It also means I look at the whole you - your lifestyle, hobbies, occupation and body - which helps me to use my knowledge of anatomy to develop a treatment that helps the whole of you. I practice mindfullness meditation, yoga and pilates which all help inform and complement my massage practice.

2nd hand crime bookstall
Murder.scot Edinburgh’s crime bookshop is starting life Wed 20th August at Leith Polis Box 2pm-8pm
We will have a variety of second hand crime books both modern and classic. We have a particularly good range of books from many of Edinburgh’s own stable of crime fiction writers but we are not prejudiced against writers from less fabulous cities.
Whether you are looking for golden age cosy crime novels, modern mysteries or hard boiled detective books come and have a browse.
We will be having further pop ups in the coming months with a view to finding a permanent home summer 2026.

1445 Mark is an Edinburgh-based writer of fiction and poetry on topics such as heartbreak, seagulls, and beer. He reads his work in public frequently, and has performed at events in the Edinburgh Fringe Lock In Slam, the Scottish Storytelling Centre, Barnton Bunker and the Bath Festival.
