Founder of Bonnie Glow: Scents of Scotland, Emily Streete is a small-batch producer of high-quality scented candles and wax melts inspired by Scottish culture, traditions and humour. Bonnie Glow represents authentic Scotland, not souvenir shop Scotland! Bonnie Glow is based in Edinburgh.
Living and working - as a singer, performer, podcaster and maker - in Edinburgh, Emily’s work is real and authentically Scottish: beautiful, charming, self-deprecating and often hilarious in its use of language.
Emily loves the planet and wants to treat it with the respect it deserves. All ingredients are sourced from Scotland, and the candles and wax melts use a natural, completely sustainable vegan wax blend made from rapeseed and coconut oil. Reusing or upcycling wherever possible, all candles are wrapped in upcycled materials and shipped in a recycled box.
Emily is a multi-disciplinary artist. She uses Scots in her practice, as she does in day-to-day life. Authenticity is important in her work, whether drawing on personal history to evoke nostalgia or creating bespoke products to support causes she believes in.

Join us to explore your own experiences with AI through weaving and storytelling. LLooM is an interactive textile installation where you write a short story about an encounter with AI on a strip of fabric. Then you weave it into a large loom.
As more people weave, the stories combine into a collective tapestry. It shows how our experiences with AI overlap, connect, and differ.
LLooM is a space to weave, talk, and think together. What does it feel like when AI gets things right? What happens when it gets things wrong?
You will not be asked to use AI for this activity, and the researchers will not enter your stories into any AI system. This research explores the stories people want to share about their experiences with AI - the good, the bad and the ugly.

On December 6th Joanna and Lisa bring their crafts for sale to the police box.
Joanna makes cute hand woven 'mug rugs' - Colourful mini rugs to put your favourite cuppa on, brightening up your office space or making coffee-time at home that much more cosy. Lisa knits 'raggsockar' - Chunky wool socks, the Swedish alternative to slippers, to keep your feet toasty through the winter months. There will also be hand stitched sketchbooks, knitted wrist warmers, and art prints.

2nd hand crime bookstall
Murder.scot Edinburgh’s crime bookshop started life in August at Leith Walk Polis Box
We will have a variety of second hand crime books both modern and classic. We have a particularly good range of books from many of Edinburgh’s own stable of crime fiction writers but we are not prejudiced against writers from less fabulous cities.
Whether you are looking for golden age cosy crime novels, modern mysteries or hard boiled detective books come and have a browse.
We will be having further pop ups in the coming months with a view to finding a permanent home summer 2026.
